Track to Compete at Regionals

Students run the 2 mile race at a track meet. This is the longest race at the track meet.

The Lindale Eagles track teams will compete at the regional meet Friday and Saturday.  They recently captured the Area Championship, and for the first time in LHS history  have won both divisions at the Area meet.

“As far as regionals, my hope is that we can compete to win the regional meet and advance as many athletes as possible to the State track meet,”  coach Chad Cooper said.

The teams were district champions before going to Area and advancing as the top teams.

“I am very proud of our athletes and all their hard work,” Cooper said. “It’s really fulfilling to see their success since they put in the work this year.”
