“It’s never fun losing, but all I know is our team worked so hard throughout the season up til the end of the final game,” junior Patrick Daniels said. “We will continue to work hard and be back better again for next season.”

The team had a total of 370 yards with 307 rushing and 63 passing yards. They ended the season 8-5 and were third in district.

The varsity boys’ basketball team played and won against Pine Tree, Whitehouse, and LaPoynor. They will play Grace on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

“We are getting better after every practice and every game, and we are playing to our standard,” senior Amare Baptiste said. “I hope with all this progress and development amongst the players and coaching staff we can have a really great district run and an even better playoff run.”

The varsity girls’ basketball team lost 48-23 against Edgewood and 65-55 against Palestine. They will play Whitehouse on Tuesday at 6:15 p.m.

“The girls have been working very hard in practice,” girls varsity basketball head coach Daniel Devisscher said. “They have already been through several really tough and well fought battles this season and those types of games are bringing us together and getting us ready for district play.”
