Varsity Golf Teams Compete At District

The varsity golf teams competed at their district tournament last week and are headed to regionals on April 15-18. Both the girls and boys teams finished in second, with junior Kenzie McClenny finishing first.

“The team far exceeded my expectations,” golf coach Lindsay Kelly said.” They are a young team with some kids who are brand new to golf, so I am very proud of them.” 

Members of the varsity girls team are McClenny, senior Karis Pollard, sophomore Addysen Bryan, and freshmans Atalie Thompson and Abigail Halme. The boys team include senior Tobin Phillips, juniors Seth Marrow and Jackson Pullin, and freshmans Jack Hopson and Josh McDonald.

“They are a young team with some kids who are brand new to golf,” Kelly said. “I am very proud of how hard they worked this season to earn a spot at regionals.”
