The boys’ and girls’ golf teams will compete at the regional tournament April 12-15 at Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club in Rockwall. The teams went to district March 23 at Pine Dunes and March 25 at Eagle’s Bluff, with both teams finishing second.
“My favorite part of being on this team is that we all get along pretty well,” senior Garrett White said. ”I know plenty of teams where it seems like the players barely know each other, and we’re not that way.”
Out of six tournaments the team finished second at Eagle’s Bluff and Van Zandt tournaments. Kennedy Wheeler finished as the first place medalist in both of those tournaments as well, while Garrett White finished second place medalist.
“I’m beyond excited for regionals,” White said. “I haven’t been to state in my four years so I’m really expecting to go this year.”
