Sports Recap 2/26-3/1

The powerlifting team took on regionals last Saturday. They will go to State over spring break at Comerica Center in Frisco.

Junior Addison Frazier won most outstanding lifter and bench with a light platform and junior Regan Wooten won most outstanding bench on heavy platform. Senior Jalynn Gateley, Frazier, and Wooten will compete at State.

The varsity baseball team won 3-2 against Pittsburgh, but fell against Marshall 2-0. Junior Ty McCoy is in the spotlight with 3 stolen bases and 64% base percentage at the start of this season.

The varsity softball team won against several teams last week. They beat Caddo Mills 12-5, Troup 7-2, Tatum 6-3, but fell against Malakoff 9-4. Currently on the national level, senior Olivia Gary is ranked 18 with 23 stolen bases.
