NHS To Shop For Christmas Helpers

NHS+To+Shop+For+Christmas+Helpers

Members of the NHS will shop for Lindale Christmas Helpers at Target and Walmart in Tyler Tuesday. Those in the club may donate money in room 233 to gain extra hours.

“This is our biggest service event for the fall and a great opportunity to give back to our community,” NHS sponsor Sally Clemmons said. “It’s a fun evening for NHS students to spend time together while serving.”

Students may earn up to eight hours of community service during this event by shopping and donating money. Every five dollars are equivalent to one hour and students may donate up to 25 dollars.

“I’m so excited to attend the Christmas Helpers event,” senior Kayla McCoy said. “I love the holidays, and there is little to nothing more important to me than allowing people of every demographic to enjoy the holidays as well.”
