The speech and debate team participated in the district tournament at Cumberland Academy. Lindale was named the champion in the speech category.

The team had three district champions: freshman Connor Steven, senior Jakob Davenport, and sophomore Madison Barnes. Additionally, there were 3 more regional qualifiers, including freshman Ethan Barchak, freshman Audrey Ratliff, and senior Sarah Sundholm.

“District is always a fun yet challenging experience,” senior Jakob Davenport said. “I enjoy it every year because it allows me to gauge my skill, and if I advance, what I need to continue to work on.”
