Key Club is hosting its annual pumpkin decorating contest this month. Groups, organizations, and teams will paint and decorate  pumpkins, and entries are due Wednesday, October 26.

“I think the most exciting part of the contest is seeing the creativity of the clubs and organizations at LHS,” key club sponsor Kristin Schlessman said. “We always end up with such surprising, well-painted pumpkins.”

Winners will be announced on Oct. 31st and will receive a candy prize. All pumpkins will be donated to local senior citizen centers as festive decorations.

“The competition is two-fold: we give clubs and organizations opportunities to work together on a project, and we deliver the pumpkins to senior citizen centers in the community to help them decorate for Halloween,” Schlessman said. “They always enjoy the creativity of our students.”
