FFA brings Santa to Lindale Library

On December 16 and 17, Santa Claus will be coming to the Lindale Library along with Lindale FFA. The event will take place both days from 4 pm to 7:30 pm. Pictures with Santa will be available for those who bring an unwrapped and unused gift toy for Toys for Tots or a monetary donation.

“What we’re doing is we’re having pictures with Santa and for the pictures, we’re asking that people bring in toy donations for the Toys for Tots drive,” Lindale FFA teacher Stephen Hindman said,” The police will come next week or the following week to get the toys and distribute them to the kids.”

Toys for Tots is a national non-profit organization that helps needy children around the country by collecting unused presents during the months of October, November and December. Toys for Tots is supported by the U.S. Marine Corps.

“A lot of kids and parents have to go to Tyler for pictures with Santa,” Lindale FFA President Brandon Stuenkel said. ”This gives them a chance to do it locally and support the community while they’re at it.”
