Volleyball win streak 16-0

The Lindale Lady Eagles traveled to Whitehouse Friday night and defeated the Lady Wildcats 25-19, 25-18, and 25-17. Lindale’s Varsity win streak climbs to 16-0 after tonight’s non-district contest. Shelbi Steen had a big night with 16 kills, 13 digs, 2 blocks, and 4 aces. Skylar Wyllie was strong at the net with 7 kills and 4 blocks. She also added 5 digs. Alondra Romero added 6 kills, 14 digs, and 1 ace. Liz Hutchens also put up 5 kills, 2 blocks, and a dig. Kalaya Pierce ran the court extremely well with 31 assists and recorded 4 digs. Libero Marleigh Thurman had a strong showing defensively with 15 digs. She also recorded an ace. Preslie Walters recorded 2 aces and 3 digs. Lindale plays at home Tuesday night against Spring Hill. They are currently 3-0 in district play.

Lindale’s Freshmen A Team lost 16-25 and 12-25, and Junior Varsity also lost 21-25 and 20-25. Reagan Cates had 4 kills, and
Brooke Tweedell has 4 kills, 2 blocks for the JV team. Freshmen A and JV will both take on Spring Hill Tuesday at home.
Lindale’s Freshmen B Team won 25-16 and 25-17. Joey Forsyth led the attack with 4 kills. Emilee Worrell recorded 2 kills, and Avery Adams added 4 aces from the service line.
Setter Lydia Payne had 2 assists for the Lady Eagles. Freshmen B will play John Tyler at home on Tuesday.
