Lindale FFA brings home the gold at state

The Lindale FFA competed at the FFA State Leadership Development Event at Sam Houston State University this weekend. The Agricultural Issues team consisting of Dylan Bacon, Marc Walvoord, Blake Brody, Hayley Walker, and Tanner Lowry finished in the top 20 out of 160 teams trying to advance to state. To add to that, the top team of the state gets to represent Texas at The National FFA LDE Contest where Texas has more national championships than any other team in the nation. So, the competition is stout, and these students worked hard to get to that level.
At the beginning of the year, 791 students entered the Senior Creed Speaking Contest. Alli Harris topped the field bringing the state championship home to Lindale. She will represent Texas next October at The National FFA Leadership Development Event held in conjunction with The National FFA Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.
I would like to thank you for your support to our FFA program and congratulate you for a State Championship. It takes the whole school’s support to make any program successful and you have showed the excellence of Lindale ISD.

Sincerely,

Welton Pickering, Stephen Hindman, Rebecca Curry
