Choir Teams Score Sweepstakes at UIL Competitions

The treble choir team posing with their sweepstakes award after UIL. This means they earned straight first divisons.

On March 25, the treble choir and mixed choir teams traveled to Carthage High School to compete in the Region 21 UIL competition. Both teams earned all first divisions in their concert and sight reading evaluations.

“Mrs. Sherman and I are very proud of the dedication and perseverance shown by these young singers,” choir director Kerry Baham said. “I’d like to especially thank our seven seniors for their willingness to help grow our young program and who have consistently set good examples for our younger singers.”

The choir programs will perform their spring concerts in May. The E.J. Moss and Junior High teams will perform Tuesday, May 7. The High School teams will perform on Tuesday, May 14. Both concerts will be at 7:00 p.m. in the PAC.

“Please come support all the members of the choir program at our spring concerts,” Baham said. “We hope to see you there!”
