Sports Recap Jan. 22-28

The boys varsity soccer team played against Athens on Tuesday . They lost 1-3 against Athens on a Tuesday and boys JV lost 1-4, and the girls soccer team had a bye week.
“I liked how everyone learned to work together as a team to get the common goal of winning,” sophomore Donovan Pennington said. “We finally clicked and overcame our challenges as a team by scoring goals.”
Also on Friday Basketball played against Van. JV girls won 29-22 and Varsity girls lost 47-49. Their next game will be on Feb. 7 for Senior Night.
“I was really proud of our effort and fight to stay in the game,” senior Brooke Everest said. “I’m also very proud of how my team handled and finished the game out.”
The boys played against Van as well on Friday with two wins. The Varsity boys won 48-38 and JV won 36-21
“We all were able to play well as an individual in this game,” senior Will Hutchens said. “I hope for a better team effort next time.”
