“I am very proud of our students and faculty members across the LISD who want to help Saul,” junior high principal Macie Thompson said. “It is moving to see our community come together to support a Lindale ISD student.”

Students from all campuses are participating in spreading the word of the fundraiser. Students, parents and community members can order a “Saul’s Pals” t-shirt to show their support.

“We miss him at LJH and want him to know that we care about him,” Thompson said. “We want to support him as he battles this illness.”

All funds raised will go towards supporting Saul and his family. The t-shirts feature a heart shaped pepperoni pizza, reflecting Saul’s love of pizza.

“Whether others know Saul personally or not, I would like to encourage them to become one of “Saul’s Pals,” Thompson said.

The schools across the district also did a hat day fundraiser for Saul. Numerous students paid $1 to wear a hat to school to help raise funds for Saul and his family.

“Saul is a very special student who brings joy everywhere he goes,” Thompson said. “The school truly misses him at LJH and supports him through battling this illness .”

Saul is a beloved member of our student body and does extracurricular activities around school. LJH wanted to come alongside him and his family provide support

“I encourage all parents and students to become one of “Saul’s Pals” and support him through purchasing a t-shirt by November 3,” Thompson said.
