Choir Competes at Solo and Ensemble

Members of the high school choir competed at the region 21 UIL Solo and Ensemble contest at Whitehouse High School on Monday. All 32 soloists achieved a class one rating, qualifying for state.
“The choir experience was great,” freshman Elijah Mcguire said. “We all worked so hard and it was great to show what we can do.”
The students get assigned a piece of music from their teacher and memorize the song. They perform the music to a set of judges, and they rank them one through four, one being the best ranking.
“I’m really proud of our team for all getting class one rating,” freshman Eliana Mcguire said. “I’m proud of our efforts as an individual and as a team.”
