The softball team held their annual hour-a-thon Dec. 6 from 6-7 p.m. Each player used the hour to call and text all of their contacts in hopes of getting donations.
“This is an easy fundraiser for us to do since our contacts are people we know would probably give us money,” sophomore Lilliana Miller said. “It is also a very quick process so it fits well into all of our busy schedules.”
They did the fundraiser through Adrenaline Fundraising. The funds they raise will go toward team travel, meals, and other expenses.
“This is the first time we’ve used [Adrenaline Fundraising],” softball coach Meredith Grant said. “We hope it is a success.”
The players were drafted into four separate teams and competed to see which group could raise the most money for the program. The team that raises the most money will receive a prize.
“Making it a competition is a good idea for us,” Miller said. “All of us on the team are very competitive, so we are more likely to actively participate in the event.”
