Pep Squad Performs At Basketball Game

The LHS Pep Squad performed at the Girls Varsity basketball game Tuesday. The performance was a Christmas themed hip hop dance.

“They did a great job,” director Keri Pierce said. “They went out and had a lot of fun and that’s really what it’s all about.”

This was the first pep squad performance for the basketball season. They performed for the audience at halftime.

“I think it went very good,” freshman Avery Patterson said. “Even if we did mess up we still had fun. We’ve been learning this dance for a while and I’m glad we got to perform.”

At the end of the performance, senior Tyler Thompson made a guest appearance. He did a dance while being dressed up as Santa Claus.

“It was just really fun,” Thompson said. “I got here and I was practicing and I was really nervous because I don’t really do that well in front of crowds, but in the end I think it did really well.”
