The Eagle football program met one of its goals this week by winning the Danny Palmer Community Service Award. This top honor is specifically for football programs who give back to their local community.
“The football program did an outstanding job with multiple community service projects last year,” athletic director Mike Maddox said.
Head football coach Chris Cochran and senior Conner Boyette accepted the award on behalf of the team.
“I think this award is awesome for our school, our campus and our kids,” high school principal Jeremy Chilek said. ” It’s a great example for our community and I’m very proud of it.”
