A life-changing game

The Lindale High School Lady Eagles basketball team is preparing for district that starts on January 3rd, 2014.

“My goal is to lead my team to state championship,” head basketball coach, Brandon Walters said.

Basketball season has been active for about three weeks. According to Walters, the team practices roughly two hours a day on non-game days.

“I think this year’s team has an exuberant amount of talent,” Coach Walters said.

Senior basketball player, Paige Murphy, feels that the team will make it “pretty far in playoffs.”

All this talent may pay off in the long run.  Senior basketball player, Natasha Malone, has recently signed to attend the University of Louisiana Monroe on a basketball scholarship.

It will take a great amount of hard work and determination for the varsity girls to reach their goals.

“Basketball seems to impact the players’ lives,” Coach Walters said. “It teaches them discipline, that they can’t always have it their way.”
