Senior to Perform as Charlie Brown at TCTC

Senior Kaleb Cole will star as Charlie Brown in the Tyler Civic Theater Center’s production of “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” The play will be performed March 4-7, 11-14, 18-21 at 7:30, with additional performances at 2:30 on March 7, 14, and 21.

I feel amazing about this show,” Cole said. “I’m super excited that I’m getting this opportunity.”

Cole has been acting since junior high in his first drama class. He has acted in almost every school production since then and started to act outside of school.

“I truly loved it but I wouldn’t say I was truly acting until I got into my first musical, the ‘Seussical’,” Cole said. “I didn’t start outside of school until the summer of my sophomore year, when I landed a ensemble role in ‘Shrek the Musical’ in Mineola.”

He is also performing in the One Act Play competition as Lord Arlington. The competition takes place on March 4 and 5.

“I love this role,” Cole said. “It’s an amazing character and a lot of the audience members will be able to relate with Charlie Brown and the other characters. This also gives me a challenge because I’m currently a part of One Act and I play a character completely the opposite of Charlie Brown.”
