District Baseball Awards Announced

The baseball awards for District 15-5A have been announced. The team finished with an overall record of 22-14 and a district record of 11-4. They advanced to the playoffs, beating Nacogdoches in three games with scores of 2-0, 0-2 and 5-1. They then played Corsicana in a one-game area playoff, where they fell 5-9.

The following are the recipients of district awards:

Pitcher of the Year: senior Jacob Philpot

1st Team Infield: sophomore Brandon Burckel

1st Team Outfield: senior Chase Rozell

2nd Team Pitcher: senior Landon Chaney

2nd Team Catcher: junior Matt Aubuchon

2nd Team Infield: senior Kam Wheeler and junior Mason Hammonds

2nd Team Outfield: senior Cody Pike

Honorable Mention Pitcher: senior Theron Brown and junior Sebastian Coulter
