The varsity baseball celebrates their home win over Greenville, and they were officially named the district champions following this game. Head coach Rich Sanguinetti is the district's Coach of the Year, and several players also received district awards.
The baseball awards for District 15-5A have been announced. The team finished with an overall record of 22-14 and a district record of 11-4. They advanced to the playoffs, beating Nacogdoches in three games with scores of 2-0, 0-2 and 5-1. They then played Corsicana in a one-game area playoff, where they fell 5-9.
