Lady Eagles start off the 2017 season

The Lindale Lady Eagle Volleyball team got off to the 2017 season start Monday night against Pine Tree, and Tuesday night against Longview.

On Monday evening, the Freshmen and J.V. teams brought home wins while varsity lost in three sets, 21-25, 15-25, and 17-25. The Lady Eagles were led at the net by Hannah Knox with six kills and Brina Kuslak with 5 kills. Setters Harleigh Thurman and Kalaya Pierce each had ten assists a piece. Senior libero Alisha Kiser held down the back row with 20 digs on the evening.

On Tuesday evening, all three teams lost to Longview. Varsity scores were 18-25, 18-25, and 14-25. Leading the offense at the net was Brina Kuslak with five kills and four blocks, and freshman Shelbi Steen with four kills and one block. Setter Harleigh Thurman had 16 assists while Kalaya Pierce added six assists. Alisha Kiser had thirteen digs on the evening, and Jennifer Moyer chipped in eight.

The Varsity Lady Eagles will be competing in the Longview Tournament this weekend.

    Wow????? I’m surprised that the Varsity team lost while the freshmen and J.V. won :0?? Good luck though I guess lol

    This is really nice but if I didn’t know any volleyball terms I would be really confused…
