Key Club hosts pumpkin decorating contest

Key Club is hosting an annual pumpkin decorating contest on October 26. The contest is open to all students and staff members to enter.

“What we hope most for this competition is for all the clubs and students to engage with each other,” Key Club president Ashlynn Brown said. “That doesn’t happen very often since every club is so busy with their own things.”

The competition is currently underway as many groups and classes prepare their pumpkins. Those participating can turn in their pumpkin anytime before October 26th.

“This is a reason for clubs to come together and have a fall party and have fun together,” Key Club sponsor Lindsay Kelly said. “It’s also a good excuse to have a little friendly competition between clubs.”

The winning pumpkin will be announced and given a prize in front of the student body at a pep rally. All students are welcomed and  encouraged to get involved.

“I really encourage students to enter the contest,” Kelly said. “This isn’t something to stress about, just a fun way to get involved and participate.”
