Key Club sponsors pumpkin decorating contest

Key Club sponsored a pumpkin decorating contest for all  clubs at LHS to participate in. Judging was during lunches Thursday.

“It’s just supposed to be a way for clubs and organizations to get their name out there for the student body,” key club sponsor Kim Saunders said. “It’s supposed to be a fun way for members to get together and have a party and decorate!  Key Club met last Thursday evening and decorated, had s’mores, visited and had fun together.”

Members of Key Club came up with the idea last year as a way to help get publicity for the different groups of students. The pumpkins will be judged by students who will place their vote for their favorite.

“Lindale has a lot of students who might not know about all the extracurricular activities and clubs that the school has to offer,” junior Avery McMurray said. “All the pumpkins look really good, and I know that Key Club had a lot of fun making theirs.”
