Art students will leave Lindale at 8:30 a.m. to compete at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) at Pine Tree High School on Saturday. Students will return to the high school between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Parents may pick their students up prior to this.
“Each year the jurors are looking for great work with good execution of techniques that expresses how the student responds to the world around them,” art teacher Rebecca Harrison said. “I look forward to the jurors seeing our students’ work.”
Students must bring money for lunch as well as their own snacks and drinks. They are also encouraged to bring games, sketch books or electronic devices for entertainment.
“I’m excited about the art that students have created for the VASE competition this year,” Harrison said. “I love seeing our students express themselves through their skill and creativity.”
