Academic students competed in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) state competition this month at the University of Texas at Austin placing first out of all teams with 213 points. To make it to the state level, students had to place 1 through 3 in both district and regional competitions.

“I am super excited that they put in the hard work and it was finally rewarded for them,” journalism coach Neda Morrow said. “It was awesome to watch our students make it through each level of competition.  I am so proud of all of them.”
