Students Participate in Floral Mum Project

Sophomore Hailey Basham folds ribbon for her mum. She planned to donate it to another student.

The floral classes will make homecoming mums as a class school pride project this week.

“I believe that it helps with the school spirit,” teacher Kim Watson said. “It’s an art class so it’s a great fit for the school.”

Students may also make mums for themselves or their peers. The creative aspect for the piece is entirely up to the students.

“I enjoy making mums because I am a creative and artistic person,” senior Avery Adams said. “I enjoy the opportunity to make different mums for different people.”
