Twirlers receive blizzards as a reward for a no drop performance. They were rewarded by coach Abigail Banko.

The majorettes were treated to ice cream blizzards from Dairy Queen Friday after a no drop performance at the first football game. The blizzards were given to them by the twirling sponsor, Abigail Banko.

“While I do love getting rewards, I think the biggest reward is being proud of ourselves and the accomplishment,” assistant head twirler Kylee Wilkinson said. “I love seeing my team happy about their personal and team performance.”

The majorettes will have a UIL twirling competition in November, with hopes of keeping up with their streak and making it to state once again.

“I love coaching the twirlers,” twirling sponsor Abigail Banko said. “They make it easy. I have a passion for twirling and teaching others how to twirl.”
