Soccer Playoffs Recap

Both varsity soccer teams entered the playoffs as bi-district champs. The boys lost in the quarterfinals and the girls lost in the second round.

“We had a great season finishing as Bi-District Champs with an overall record of 20-5-4. I am very proud seeing all the hard work we put in during the summer and fall produced such great results,” girl’s varsity soccer coach Cody Bray said. “Much of our success was driven by our senior class. They have set the example for others in the soccer program on what it takes to win and train.”

Both teams won in the first round of playoffs, but the girls fell to Henderson 2-3 in the second round.

“I think we took the loss really hard,” senior Brooke Everest said. “But the team had a really good season.”

In the second round, the boys won 3-2 against Center. They lost in the quarterfinal round of playoffs against Jacksonville on March 31. The final score was 1-3.

“The game was very intense, and we really thought we had it in the first half,” junior Luis Ramirez said. “But we had a great season and I’m happy to call all of these boys family.”
