Choir Participates At All State Convention

Three All State choir members participated in the TMEA annual conference on Saturday at San Antonio. They performed alongside other state qualifiers.

“The days before the concert were some of the most intense yet rewarding days of my life,” senior Sarah Kramer said. “During the All State experience, I met lots of awesome musicians that care for music as much as I do. I am so thankful to have had the honor to perform in San Antonio with the Small School All State Choir.”

Seniors Gracie Day, Sarah Kramer, and freshman Elijah McGuire spent four days in intensive rehearsal with other all state choir members from around the state. McGuire became the first freshman in Lindale to earn a spot in the all state choir.

“To be the first freshman in the all state choir at our school is surreal to me,” McgGuire said. “I’ve been singing all my life so it feels amazing to have my hard work finally pay off, but none of this would even be possible without my amazing teachers Mr. Baham and Mrs. Sherman.”
