Last Friday, both girls soccer teams played Van at home while the boys played in Van. Varsity girls won 6-1 and JV girls won 10-0. Varsity boys won 6-1 and JV boys won 15-0.
“It was weird having to come back and play a district game after being out of school all week,” junior soccer captain Kady Spears said. “But we ended up playing super well and I’m very proud of everyone.”
On Saturday, both girls soccer teams played Bullard at home while the boys played in Bullard. Varsity girls were lost 3-5 while JV won 1-0. Varsity boys won 2-0 and JV won 4-0.
“Bullard is a tough team to play, so I’m glad we really showed out on Saturday,” sophomore Seth Baggett said. “Hopefully we will continue to do well for the rest of the season.”
Additionally, both girls and boys basketball teams played away games in Mabank. The varsity boys lost 47-38 and the varsity girls also lost.
“This season has been full of ups and downs, but I’m proud of how far we’ve come,” junior Landri Laing said. “We have all bonded and grown closer as a team and as individuals.”
