Made to Last–Documentary [Contest 2023]

This is a documentary film made by the EagleVision film team of Lindale High School.
Directors: Kylie Gorman and Lili Miller
Summary: Tommy Mallory has served/worked for LISD for 51 years and was a graduate in 1961. He is one of the last of his kind in the field of offset print production and still runs the print shop for LISD on the original offset equipment that he has maintained for 51 years. He has mentored and taught countless students, and is an inspiration to everyone he meets. This film serves to show the importance of maintaining a place for those from an older generation to be useful, functioning members of our society. Additionally, it is designed to show the importance of not being a part of the throwaway culture which seeks the ‘next new thing’ rather than utilizing and repurposing what we have.
