Cross Country District Meet Results

At the cross country district meet on Oct. 11, the girls team qualified for regionals by finishing third in district, Alex Gutierrez qualified for regionals on the boy team, and both boys and girls JV teams are district champions.

Our cross country team had an outstanding showing at the district meet on October 11,” cross country coach Christopher Grotemat said. “The boys and girls JV teams captured district championships, the girls teams qualified for regionals, and I am very proud of all of their hard work.”

The boys varsity team placed fourth in the 5,000 meter race with 79 points and the jv team placed first with 29 points. In the two mile race, the varsity girls placed third with 60 points and the jv girls placed first with 19 points.

“I am really proud of the girl’s team’s results from the district meet” junior Laicha Zuniga said. “Cross country is my favorite thing about school, and all of my friends just make it better.”
