The Lady Eagles defeated Van in the varsity and junior varsity levels Oct. 4th. Varsity set scores were 21-25, 17-22, 25-18, 25-20, and 15-13 and junior varsity set scores were 26-24 and 25-20.

“I enjoy being with my friends all the time and just how rewarding it is when you win a big game,” junior Maddox Lay said. “and most importantly beating Van!”

Lay and sophomore Addison Ridge both executed 14 kills and 14 digs for the win. Senior Brooke Tweedell contributed 6 kills and 3 blocks. Junior Reagan Cates had 4 kills and an ace. The Lady Eagles moved forward improving to 4-3 in district play. 

“I love being with my friends and just playing volleyball because it’s so fun,” Sophomore Isabella Koonce said. “I would like to win as many games as we can.”

The junior varsity Lady Eagles won in two sets. Maddie Fowble led the team with 4 kills, 3 blocks, and an ace along with Izzy Koonce with 4 kills and 7 assists. The freshman Lady Eagles lost to Van 21-25 and 17-25.
