Student Council Donates to Lindale Christmas Helpers

Student Council will pass out the presents they got for Lindale Christmas Helpers this week. They volunteered to sponsor four kids.

‘It is important to give back to the community,” Student Council sponsor Renee Ramsey said. “We love Lindale Christmas Helpers because all the kids and families are a part of the Lindale school system.”

They raised money for toys on the Hats for the Holidays day before Thanksgiving break. Council members went shopping Nov. 29 for toys that were on the child’s wish list.

“The students really enjoyed picking out Barbie dolls, board games, puzzles, and friendship bracelet makers,” Ramsey said.

Student Council is also donating socks, hats, gloves, scarves, and necessary toiletries such as bubble bath, toothbrushes, and toothpaste. Every child is also getting a winter coat and new shoes.

“This is what Christmas is truly about,” Ramsey said. “We want to be helping others and ensuring that every child has a magical Christmas.”
