Tennis and Cross Country Compete In Playoffs

Tennis and cross country athletes both participated in district this week. Tennis played bi-district Oct. 12 and won 19-0 against Farmersville. The team competed again on Oct. 14 against Pleasant Grove and won the area meet 10-6.

“The sky is the limit for this team,” tennis coach Randall Namanny said. “They have a chance to make it to state this year.”

Cross country ran their  district meet on Thursday.  The Lady Eagles made it to regionals, with freshman Gaby Saboia winning 2nd place overall.  They will compete again on Oct. 26.

“Both cross country teams have had great seasons thus far,” cross country coach Chris Grotemat said.
