Over the past few weeks, the drill team has been selling discount cards for 14 different local businesses. They are raising money for their upcoming trip to Nashville, Tennessee and will be selling the cards until Oct. 31.

“I’m so happy we get to do a fundraiser for our trip to Nashville,” senior lieutenant Bailee Dewolfe said. ”It’s a great fundraiser for the drill team and it also helps get our name out to the community.“

The school will cover the cost for most of the meals and excursions that the drill team will have on the trip. The cards will help to pay for rooming and extra meals for the girls and their parents.

“I’m very excited for the Nashville trip this year,” sophomore Olivia Gary said. “Our cards are also selling really well. I’m also excited to get closer to the girls on the trip while we’re rooming together.”

The trip to Nashville will take place over the MLK holiday in January. They will drive in a charter bus to Nashville and then come home Jan. 17.

“I’m so excited to go on a trip to Nashville,” sophomore Macy Beeler said. “It will be a fun experience with all of the girls”
