Lindale will host its Meet the Eagles Friday at 8:30 p.m. at the Eagle Stadium after the first scrimmage of the year. They will showcase the football, volleyball, and both girls and boys basketball as well as the drill team, star steppers, band, and cheerleaders.

“I love Meet the Eagles because we can showcase the great students we have here,” Principal Jeremy Chilek said. “Anytime we can showcase the hard work they have put into these sports and activities is great.”

Before the Meet the Eagles event there will be a football scrimmage against Sulfur Springs. The Texas High School Coach Association is also accepting donations at the entrance that will go towards funding coaches when emergencies occur.

“Anyone who wants to donate when they come into the gate can,” Chilek said. “They are trying to raise money for a benevolence fund in case something happens with a coach and his or her family so they can step in and help.”
