Art students will host the annual Art Showcase on May 8 in the PAC displaying pieces of art from grades 4-12. This will be the 10th year for the event. There is no admission fee, and it is open to the community from 5-7pm. Ceramic bowls will also be available for donated purchase, with all proceeds going to the David Powell food pantry.
“I am most excited to see the entire showcase of student artwork,” art teacher Rebecca Harrison said. “It really is a beautiful showcase that displays the kids’ work with a formal quality.”
Throughout the year, art teachers select pieces of work to display, while high school art students will learn to curate the selected artwork.
