Lindale High School choir students performed in their spring concert Monday, May 18. The concert was the last one of the school year and was held in the Performing Arts Center.
“A lot of hard work and blood, sweat and tears went into it,” senior Brooke Kreitinger said. “I could definitely back up the tears part, but it went well.”
One part of the choir concert was focused on student spotlights. Many different students performed a vast variety of songs. Among these students, Cherie Zeng and Shane McClain performed Moon River.
“My favorite part of the concert was playing Moon River for Cherie,” junior Shane McClain said. “It was a lot of fun. Even though I messed up, we held on and were able to finish strong.”
For the seniors in LHS choir, this concert was their last. Along with a regular student spotlight, a senior spotlight was also done at the concert.
“[The student spotlights] really allow the students to express themselves and their talents,” Kreitinger said. “I participated in one of them and it was a lot of fun being on stage. We’ve definitely come a long way since the beginning of the year.”
