The ACT and TSI will be offered to juniors in April for free. For students who sign up for the December ACT, a free second test is being offered which may be used for national test dates in February or April.
“I have never seen ACT offer a two-for-one deal in my 36 years of being in education,” freshman and junior counselor David Ramsey said. “I recommend students take the ACT 2-3 times to gain their highest score.”
Students who want to retain permits for the following year must pass the TSI or make a 23 composite score on the ACT with 19 on both the reading and math sections.
“The greatest benefit from taking the ACT is the potential to gain scholarship money,” Ramsey said. “A high test score will afford you the opportunity to be more marketable when competing for academic scholarships.”
