The Robotics team is preparing for the upcoming Boosting Engineering Science and Technology competition. They will travel to Dallas on October 28.
“Competition involves a game field that was designed specifically for this year,” robotics sponsor Duane Walton said. “There are about ten different ways; ten different things we can do to get points towards our team total. So we’ll just run the course and get as many points as we can.”
Last Saturday the team went to Allen to practice their robot on the official game course. By doing this, the team learned what they’ve got down and what they need to improve on.
“Robotics has been really enjoyable for me this year, especially seeing all the work my team and I have put in finally working out,” sophomore Odin Burks said. “I’m excited to see how things will go at our competition, and I have high hopes for our team going to state again this year.”
