Senior Jillian Ortiz signed to play college basketball Wedenesday with LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. Ortiz has been playing for six years and plans on ending her career after college.
“Jillian will never not give you 100%,” girls varsity basketball coach Daniel Devvisher said. “That’s a quality that colleges are looking for, so she’s very deserving of this offer.”
Jillian has been playing in tournaments for the duration of her high school career. She has made friends from teams all over the country and is known for her positive attitude on the court.
“My favorite part of basketball is making new friends that become family,” Ortiz said. “I’m just really excited to go play college ball and make even more friendships.”
