Senior Hunter Blankenship was selected as a finalist for the Christus Trinity Mother Frances “Women With Heart” scholarship contest. Students had to fill out an application and film a short two minute video on women’s heart health.

“I found out about it from my mom,” Blankenship said. “It was close to Valentine’s Day. I thought it would be cool to go with the theme of spreading love.”

The films will be voted on by the public until Feb. 20 and winners will be announced Feb. 22. The top three videos will receive a scholarship of $1,500, $2,500 and $5,000. Everyone is able to vote once per day on the KLTV 7 website.

“I plan on attending TJC,” Blankenship said. “Then transferring to a university and I’ll be studying business in marketing.
