Act XII will display talents from students throughout the campuses. The event will be held on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center.
“I think the Act 12 Spotlight is an excellent avenue to showcase the talents of Lindale ISD students,” Director of Act XII Kari McKenzie said. “Students from all campuses will be represented this year.”
Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at the Administration Building for $8 dollars and increases to $12 dollars if purchased at the door. The tickets will be available for purchase Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and cash, check, Venmo, and Paypal are accepted.
“Every year multiple people try out, but may not be selected for this event,” head twirler Kayleigh Tew said. “Getting to showcase our talent to a crowd is amazing but thinking this is my last year of it is very bittersweet.”
All proceeds will benefit the classrooms through the Education Foundation’s innovative teaching grants program. Grants are provided to teachers to fund projects and enhance the learning experience for students.
“I am proud that something I have a hand in helps to fund the Education Foundation,” McKenzie said. “It is great to know our kids can use their talents to bring in funds that will be given directly back to our teachers’ classrooms.”
