Sophomore Breanna Taylor and senior Soren Petersen have been named as November’s athletes of the month. The awards are sponsored by Chick-fil-A, and the students receive a goody bag from the local restaurant.
“Breanna is an outstanding athlete and person,” tennis coach Randal Namanny said. ” She went undefeated in postseason play in singles and only had two losses in doubles. She made the all state team in 4A as a sophomore. Breanna is a very hard working and encouraging teammate and student.”
Every month coaches choose top athletes based on their work ethic, character, and contribution to their teams.
“Soren is an outstanding kid,” Namanny said. “He played great in the postseason. He is such a positive teammate and person. Soren is a great student and just won Regionals in Robotics. He is a very well-rounded player, great teammate, and has an outstanding work ethic and attitude.”
