The Life Skills Fall Festival took place on Friday in the side gym from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Students from across the district participated in fall-themed, hands-on activities and games.
The festival was planned by the special programs department in conjunction with multiple different school organizations. Additionally, multiple local businesses contributed supplies.
“We are so thankful for the staff and students who dedicated their time to this event for our students,” Stanley said. “The kids had a great time.”
Students from drill team, football, the principles of education classes, FFA, golf, and more volunteered with students and at different booths.
“I think this event is a great opportunity to celebrate the new season and also for different clubs to connect with other students,” senior Lauren Van Andel said. “It’s a fun interaction that we get to have with the younger kids.”
Booths consisted of temporary tattoos, a petting zoo, and more. There were also stations where students could play golf, jump in a bounce house, and participate in a bean bag toss.
“Helping out with the festival was very rewarding and an amazing opportunity,” junior Landri Laing said. “I loved getting to see the smiles on everyone’s faces as they traveled through all the stations.”
