Pink Out to be Held Friday

Friday night’s football game’s student theme will be Pink Out in support of breast cancer awareness month. Student Council will hold a fundraiser where students can bring one dollar to allow them to wear a hat on Friday. All funds from the fundraiser will be given to Ross Breast Center.

“I am excited to partner with the cheerleaders and Star Steppers to make the pink out extend to not only the game and pep rally but the school day as well,” Student Council sponsor Reneé Ramsey said. “I know that the student body will enjoy wearing western wear and hats. The Ross Breast Center is a great cause, and I hope we raise a lot of money”

The Student Council will be stamping students’ hands who bring a dollar in order to wear a cowboy hat during the school day. Students who do not have a stamp will not be able to wear any hat.

“I am super excited to see everyone participate in this year’s western theme,” Student Council president Hannah Evans said. “I can’t wait to see everyone come together to support all the members in our community who have been negatively affected by breast cancer, and to work hard at spreading awareness”

The cheerleaders and Star Steppers will also have pink pom poms in support of breast cancer awareness month.

“Pink Out is one of my favorite themes each year because of the meaning behind it and the positive influence it has on our community,” Flock co-leader Kenzie Wallace said. “I can’t wait to see how everyone dresses as well as the support that it will attract.”
