Solo and Ensemble was postponed due to weather complications and will now be held Feb. 18-19. Band students from all across the region will perform solos and ensemble groups.
“I know everyone has worked on their music for months in order to perform at this competition,” junior Lauren Philips. “I am so excited to be a part of it and showcase the piece I have worked so hard to perfect.”
Students who memorize their solo and receive a first are eligible for the advancement for the state level competition. Ensemble members also have the opportunity to advance if they receive a first division in the region level competition.
“I am super excited to have the chance to advance to state,” junior Madelyn Lazarz said. “I have worked really hard on my solo, so I think that I am ready to play next weekend.”
